Onitsuka Tiger Vintage Deep Clean

This pair of vintage Onitsuka Tigers came in heavily soiled — the uppers were caked with grime, the midsoles had deep yellowing from age, and the mesh panels had taken on a grey tint that no at-home cleaning had been able to shift. The client wanted them brought back as close to the original white-and-colour as possible without damaging the vintage materials.

We used a multi-stage deep clean process tailored to vintage sneakers: a gentle enzyme pre-soak to lift embedded dirt without stressing aged materials, followed by hand-scrubbing each panel with appropriate solutions for the mesh, leather, and rubber sections. The midsoles and outsoles were treated separately to address yellowing and scuff marks. A final protective coat was applied to the uppers to help repel future dirt and slow re-soiling.
